Yesterday (Monday) 25,379 votes were registered during the first day of the referendum, 54.53% of which were cast online and 45.48% at voting booths.

Most, 54.53%, did so online, whereas 45.48% voted at one of the 108 voting booths.

The Mayor of Barcelona has called on Barcelona's residents to take part in the vote to decide the avenue's future.

Chapter 13 of Barcelona's history is now online. It describes the reign of Pere the Cerimonious, who devoted part of his attention to embellishing the city with public and private buildings.

With the referendum deciding the avenue's future just a day away, Jordi Hereu has called on the public to take part: "It is for the people to have their say and vote".
